Kevin (Jiancheng) Jia, Ph.D.
Biography:
Dr. Jia received his Ph.D. degree from Purdue University in 1991. His research interests include data representation for BP neural networks, computer vision, and biometrics. Dr. Jia has over 20 years R&D experience in academia and industries. He has served as associate editor of the International Journal of Biometrics and on editorial board members for several journals. He currently is a R&D scientist at IGT and can be contacted at Kevin.Jia@IGT.com.

Biometrics in Asian Pacific
Abstract:
This keynote will introduce current status of biometrics research in Asian Pacific region.
The talk will focus on main research institutions, groups and activities in China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. Current and recent research projects, implementations, and challenges will be discussed.
