Belur Dasarathy is an independent consultant targeting needs of
multiple defense and commercial industries in the areas of multi-sensor
multi-source information fusion, target discrimination and recognition,
pattern recognition, image analysis and other related topics, for the
design and development of automated intelligent decision systems arising
in a variety of strategic/tactical defense-related problems as well as
other commercial/ civilian applications. His professional affiliations
over the past 3 decades include Dynetics (as Distinguished
Scientist/Senior Principal Engineer), Intergraph Corporation (as Senior
Technical Manager/Senior System Consultant), Computer Sciences
Corporation (as Computer Scientist) Indian Institute of Science (as
Assistant Professor), Southern Methodist University (as Visiting
Professor), Univ. of Alabama (as Adjunct Professor).
He is the founding (an entrepreneurial accomplishment
funded by Elsevier) and current Editor-in-chief of the International
Journal on Information Fusion, published by Elsevier, the very first
journal dedicated to this evolving field. He was one of the key founding
members of the board of directors of the International Society on
Information Fusion (ISIF) and served in that capacity for a couple of
years afterwards. He has been the editor of several special issues on
sensor fusion in Optical Engineering Journal. He was the guest editor of
Optical Engineering for three special sections on Sensor Fusion. He has
continually been the organizer and chairman of the annual SPIE
Conferences on Sensor Fusion since 1997 and on data mining, intrusion
detection, and network security since 1999.
Dr. Dasarathy has over 175 publications and is the author
of three IEEE Computer Society Press books: Decision Fusion, Nearest
Neighbor (NN) Norms: NN Pattern Classification Techniques, and Image
Data Compression: Block Truncation Coding. He has been the
keynote/invited speaker at many international conferences across the
globe. Dr. Dasarathy was the 1997 IEEE Region 3 Outstanding Engineer, a
recipient of the IEEE Third Millennium Medal, 1996 IEEE Huntsville
Section Outstanding Engineer. His biographical citations include: "WHO'
WHO" in Computer Graphics," Marquis, 1984; "Personalities of the South,"
American Biographical Institute, 1986; "Who's Who in Technology Today,"

Anu Acharya is the founder
and CEO of Ocimum Biosolutions, a Global Genomics
outsourcing partner for discovery, development and diagnostics. The
company was founded in the year 2000 and has completed 3 international
acquisitions, Gene Logic Genomics from Maryland, USA in the year 2007,
Isogen Life Sciences from The Netherlands in 2006 and the GD business of
MWG Biotech of Germany in 2005. Ocimum today has 2000 customers
worldwide and operates under 3 main business units of BioIT,
BioMolecules and Bioresearch. Ocimum recently raised capital from Kubera
Cross Border Fund (KUBC) for an equity investment of up to US$17 million
(including the pro rata investment by affiliates of Kubera Partners,
LLC, the Investment Manager of KUBC). Ocimum was previously financed by
the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private Equity arm of
the World Bank.
Prior to founding Ocimum Biosolutions, Ms. Acharya has had rich
experience in the Telecom, IT and entrepreneurship arenas. She worked
for a startup in the telecommunications space called Mantiss Information
and a consulting firm called SEI Information where she helped create a
social networking site for entrepreneurs. Her experience is backed by
education at premier institutions like the Indian Institute of
Technology at Kharagpur, India (IIT) and University of Illinois where
she has two Post Graduate degrees in Physics and MIS.
She is a regular in technology forums and round tables and one of the
well known first generation entrepreneurs in the Indian life-sciences
space. She was named by Red Herring Magazine to the list of "25 Tech
Titans under 35" in 2006. Ocimum has received several awards including
"Fastest Growing Life Sciences Company in India", Red Herring Asia 100,
"IT Innovation Award" by NASSCOM and has been named to the Deloitte list
of Fastest Growing companies in Asia, three years in a row.

| Dr. Rajen Bhatt has obtained his Ph.D. from the IIT Delhi in 2005. Since then he is working as a Chief Engineer at Samsung India R&D Center in Noida, India. He has published several research papers in reputed journals and conferences. He has several patents to his credits with Indian and US patent office. He is also collaborative researcher of Computational Intelligence Research lab at University of Manitoba, Canada. His current research interests are Pattern recognition, Computer vision, Recommender systems, and Soft Computing. He also holds expertise over innovation and management of Intellectual Property. He holds an expertise over industry standard R&D project management and rapid deployment of research results to consumer products. During his tenure in Samsung he has worked on numerous R&D projects leading from research to product development. His novel concept of fuzzy recommender system has received the Samsung Best Paper Award for 2008. |

| Dr. Peep Küngas received PhD in Information and Intelligence Science
from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim,
Norway in August 2006. MSc and BSc in Computer and Systems
Engineering were acquired from Tallinn University of Technology,
Tallinn, Estonia respectively in 2002 and 2000. Peep has expert
knowledge and experience in services ecosystems, the Semantic
Web, formal methods, automated theorem proving, knowledge
engineering, automated Web services annotation and
orchestration, machine learning and
intelligent distributed systems. Dr. Peep Küngas has served as a
Program Committee member and reviewer of several scientific
forums. Additionally he has published over 40 scientific
peer-reviewed and more than 20 popular scientific papers. Since
2007 Peep Küngas serves as CEO of SOA Trader, Ltd., which
consults Estonian public sector in forming e-services
development strategies and develops national semantic

Shiguo Lian got his Ph.D. from Nanjing University of
Science and Technology, China, in July 2005. He was
a research assistant in City University of Hong Kong
in 2004. Since July 2005, he has been a Research
Scientist with France Telecom R&D (Orange Labs)
Beijing. He is the author or co-author of more than
80 refereed international journal and conference
papers covering topics of intelligent computing and
security, including chaos based cryptography, neural
network based information security, multimedia
analysis and security, network security, ubiquitous
computing and intelligent services. He has
contributed 15 chapters to books and held 14 filed
patents. He is the author of the book "Multimedia
Content Encryption: Techniques and Applications" (CRC
Press, 2008), editor of "Multimedia Communication
Security: Recent Advances" (Nova Sciences Publisher,
2009), and co-editor of "Handbook of Research on
Secure Multimedia Distribution" (IGI Global, 2009),
"Intelligent Computing Based on Chaos" (Springer,
2009) and "Intelligent Multimedia Analysis for
Security Applications" (Springer, 2009). He got the
Nomination Prize of "Innovation Prize 2006 in France
Telecom", and he got "Top 100 Doctorate Dissertation

Dr.
Dickson Lukose (PhD) is the Head of the Knowledge
Technology Cluster at MIMOS BHD. Dr Lukose is also
the director of the Artificial Intelligence
Laboratory as well as the Centre of Excellence in
Semantic Technologies. Prior to MIMOS BHD, Dr Lukose
was involved with a startup company named DL
Informatique Sdn. Bhd., an MSC Status Company
specializing in the applications of Artificial
Intelligence Technology in developing software
applications in the areas of Risk Management and
Knowledge Management. Before returning to Malaysia,
Dr. Lukose spent many years working in financial
services industry developing enterprise
applications. He has done over 10 years of academic
research in Artificial Intelligence, supported by
research grants from Graphic Directions, Leverhulme
Foundation, CSIRO, and Australian Research Council.
Dr. Lukose has authored over 60 research papers and
technical reports on the subject of artificial
intelligence, knowledge acquisition and modeling for
scientific journals and conference proceedings,
chaired or co-chaired over 15 international
conferences on these subjects, and edited a number
of books in these areas.
His
qualifications include B.Sc. (Hons), and PhD from
Deakin University (Australia), and Post-Doctorate
Research as a Leverhulme Fellow at Loughborough
University of Technology (UK). He has carried out
teaching and research in Artificial Intelligence at
Deakin University (Australia), Loughborough
University of Technology (UK), University of Calgary
(Canada) and University of New England (Australia).
He worked as a Senior Knowledge Engineer with
Brightware Inc. (USA), and as Principal Knowledge
Engineer with MindBox Inc.(USA), where he has been
engaged in architecture and developing complex
knowledge based systems for the Financial Services
Industry. During his tenure with Brightware and
Mindbox, he has worked with leading financial
institutions in UK, USA and Korea. |

Jan graduated from
Electrical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg,
and from Theoretical Computer Sciences from Technical University Berlin,
both located in Germany. Funny enough, he also hold a Deep-Sea Sailor
Diploma from the Deep Sea Sailor School Lübeck, Germany, and is a
honorary speaker of the German Society of Informatics, GI Regional Group
Berlin.
He is a national delegate to the IT Security Standardization Group DIN
NIA27 respectively ISO/IEC SC27 and a professional member of ACM, IEEE,
GI (German Association on Informatics), IHK (Chamber of Industry and
Commerce) and ASQF (Association on Software & System Quality and
Certification) on Formal Testing etc. On lecturing, he is undertaking
University and Business courses and publications on Networking, Formal
Evaluation Tools, System Engineering, Safety and Security Technology,
Multipurpose Chip Card Technology at several Universities, currently
such as TFH Berlin, Online University Brandenburg, the private OTA
University on Business Berlin, Smart University at Sophia Antipolis etc.
He has chaired international conferences and is a member of programme
committees on issues of Safety & Security Quality of Service, Open
Distributed Processing, Middleware, Protocol Testing Systems, Formal
Methods etc. Furthermore, he was able to combine scientific career with
an industrial career, which opened the doors to technology transfer

Amy Neustein, Ph.D. is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Speech Technology (Springer Verlag). She is Founder and CEO of Linguistic Technology Systems, a NJ-based think tank for intelligent design of advanced Natural Language Understanding software to improve human response in critical systems, such as monitoring recorded conversations of terror suspects and of patient¡¯s calls to medical hotlines. Neustein is a graduate of Boston University (1981) where she received her Ph.D. in sociology; her specialty area is Conversation Analysis. She has published a number of scholarly articles, chapters and books and is the recipient of a pro Humanitate Literary Award. She serves on the visiting faculty of the National Judicial College and as a moderator and panelist at academic and industry conferences in speech recognition and natural language processing. She has also established a high profile in the mass media as a reformer of socio-legal and religious institutions, and has made appearances on ABC Nightline, CNN, Voice of America, National Public Radio, and has been quoted in the Associated Press and the New York Times.??

his PhD in Computer Science in 2002 from Warsaw University, Poland. In
an instructional capacity he has successfully supervised more than 10
graduate students in Canada and Poland. He has pursued academic
collaborations with Warsaw University, University of Regina, and the
Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology. Currently, he is
working as chief scientist for Infobright Inc.
Dominik serves as an associate editor and reviewer for
a number of international scientific journals, and chair of several
international scientific conferences. He has published over 50
pier-reviewed papers for books, journals, and conference proceedings. He
has delivered a number of invited talks in Canada, China, Egypt, India,
Japan, South Korea, Poland, and the United Kingdom. His research
interests are related mainly to rough sets, data warehousing, data
mining, KDD, bioinformatics, as well as medical and multimedia data

Dr. Mohamed Chawki holds an LL.M from Cairo University, Egypt; and a (Ph.D.) in Law from the University of Lyon III in France (2006) , for a dissertation on French, British and American Cybercime Legal Systems. He is a Senior Judge at the Council of State, Egypt (d¨¦tach¨¦ aupr¨¨s du Minist¨¨re de la Culture) and the Founder Chairman of the International Association of Cybercrime Prevention (AILCC) in Paris. An association of international IT experts and legal scholars specializing in Cyber law, privacy and security. He is also the Founder and Co- Director of the African Center for Cyberlaw and Cybercrime Prevention (ACCP).
Judge Chawki is a Post - doc researcher at the University of Aix-Marseille III where he conducts research in criminal law. He also works as a Senior Legal Counselor to the Minister of Military Production in Egypt, where he drafts legal opinions on various topics related to Information Technology.
Dr. Chawki has served as a legal consultant to the Chairman of The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) where he has handled matters involving issues of public, private, and Egyptian capital market laws and is a former Legal Counselor to the Chairman of Capital Market Authority (CMA) in Egypt. In 2008 Dr. Chawki was appointed by the EU to serve on the Expert group charged with implementing the project ¡°Fisc Financial Component 3¡± in the Egyptian Capital Market Authority.
Judge Dr. Chawki has an extensive knowledge of High Tec criminality, cyber crime and cyber terrorism, including countermeasures and prevention. As a part of his research he carried out an internship at Interpol¡¯s Financial and High Tec Crime Unit. He also used to conduct legal analysis for the Organisation of CyberAngels in NYC and advice cybercrime victims on various issues related to countermeasures and prevention. Doctor Chawki is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in the United Kingdom (FRSA); a member of the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Program (ISPAC); a member of the European Society of Criminal Law; director of the legal program at CEDEJ (MAEE / CNRS) ; a board member of Computer Crime Research Center (CCRC) ; and serves as a leading cybercrime expert in a number of international organisations.
On a different note, Judge Chawki holds a number of visiting posts in Egypt and abroad where he teaches Commercial Law, Cyberlaw, Introduction to French Law, Business Law and Culture Interaction.
He is a prolific author publishing articles in American, British and French academic journals on a variety of legal topics. As well as being the author of two books in French entitled (Combattre la cybercriminalit¨¦) and (La traite des ¨ºtres humains ¨¤ l¡¯¨¨re num¨¦rique)". M. Chawki is a regular speaker at major conferences where he has delivered over 50 conference papers and/or presentations at national and international conferences on on Cybercrime, Investment Fraud, E-government, Human Trafficking, Digital Evidence and Cyberterrorism. He has also organized very successful international legal conferences on cyberlaw , bringing in scholars, policy officials and members of both the industry and academic community to craft new policies and disseminate scholarly researches.
Judge Chawki holds over twenty-five international and national prizes for his academic achievement and was honored in 1996 by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt; rewarded by the Medal of Excellence in 1998 (Egypt); the International Prize Claire-L'Heureux-Dub¨¦ (Canada) in 2006; and the Medal of Merit from Brasil in 2009 for the efforts provided to Brazilian government in drafting a new cybercrime law.
