Title: AI based Optimization of Micro-machining Processes

Abstract: The main focus of the presentation will be on discussing application of AI based Socio-inspired Cohort Intelligence (CI) Algorithm solving 21st century Non Traditional Machining (NTM) Processes. The CI algorithm mechanism will be discussed in brief with a review of its existing applications. The NTM processes such as Electric Discharge Machining (EDM), Abrasive Water Jet Machining (AWJM) and several Tool Based Micro-machining Processes along with the applications will also be discussed. The results, significance and implications will also be elaborated. The presentation will be based on my recent publication: Shastri, A.S., Nargundkar, A., Kulkarni, A.J.: “Socio-inspired Optimization of Advanced Manufacturing Processes”, Springer Series in Advanced Manufacturing, (2021) (DOI: 10.1007/978-981-15-7797-0; ISBN: 978-981-15-7797-0).
